The biggest problem of the amazonian forest is the creations of bovines, industry of furniture and exporting.
The government not view problem in the use these woods in Lutherie, because is an minimal consumption of wood in this activity.

It' interesting to see that the cost of things in your country is totaly different than for France (internet is more expansive, rent of house is a lot less expansive, tools for lutherie seems to be more expansive...)

au fait caribou, oui a l'époque ou j'ai acheté cette touche je réalisais pas vraiment que c'était une espèce aussi rare, je trouvais ça juste super beau... maintenant que j'y pense j'ai un peu honte mais ce qui est fait est fait. je recommencerais plus. promis. (bon au moins j'aurais une belle touche)

Bof, je te reproche rien hein, j'ai moi même quelques trèès jolies touches en amourette, ainsi que 5 jeux fond/éclisses en palissandre de Rio (achetés avant 92). La question de la protection des essences rares est complexe et ne peut pas se limiter qu' à un boycott ou une interdiction, en tous cas pour certaines d'entre elles.
